We approach Sauvignon Blanc with the same philosophy that defines every wine at Ninth Acre—precision, restraint, and a disciplined respect for place. Sourced from the Sonoma Coast, the wine is shaped by cold marine influence, extended ripening, and a focus on preserving tension, energy, and natural freshness. Farming and cellar decisions are intentionally restrained, allowing texture, minerality, and aromatic clarity to emerge without excess. The result is a Sauvignon Blanc built not around overt style, but around purity, structure, and the distinct character of the vintage and vineyard.
Bright, mineral-driven, and quietly complex, Ninth Acre Sauvignon Blanc is crafted to capture tension, energy, and precision rather than overt tropical excess.Sourced from select cool-climate vineyard blocks along the Sonoma Coast, the wine balances vivid aromatics with structure and restraint. Expressive without being loud — a wine built around purity, texture, and length.
The 2024 growing season along the Sonoma Coast was defined by substantial winter rainfall, extended marine influence, and a long, moderate ripening period that allowed the vineyards to develop exceptional aromatic precision while retaining natural acidity.
Persistent morning fog and cold afternoon coastal winds slowed sugar accumulation and extended hang time deep into harvest. Unlike warmer inland regions, the Sonoma Coast maintained remarkable freshness throughout the season, producing fruit with vivid citrus character, saline minerality, and striking structural tension.
The resulting wine reflects the energy and purity characteristic of the region’s finest cool-climate vintages — focused, linear, and intensely expressive without excess weight or ripeness.
Immediate, with intent.
