The Ninth Acre Bordeaux Blend is the complete expression of our vineyards. Built upon Cabernet Sauvignon and refined with Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, it unites exceptional vineyard sites into a single, harmonious wine that reflects both place and purpose. Each vineyard block is farmed with precision, harvested independently, and vinified separately before months of blending determine the final composition. Every component is selected not for its individuality, but for the balance, depth, and complexity it contributes to the finished wine. The result is a Bordeaux-inspired Napa Valley blend of remarkable structure, elegance, and longevity—crafted to express the character of the vineyards rather than the hand of the winemaker.
The inaugural Ninth Acre Bordeaux Blend brings together fruit from three exceptional Napa Valley vineyard sites, each contributing a distinct voice to the final wine.
Oakville Ranch provides richness, concentration, and polished tannins. Bale Mill Ranch contributes aromatic complexity, vibrant fruit, and refined structure. Carefully selected hillside vineyard blocks add freshness, mineral tension, and lift, completing a blend built on harmony rather than dominance.
Cabernet Sauvignon forms the foundation, while Cabernet Franc brings elegance and aromatic precision. Merlot adds texture and generosity, and Petit Verdot contributes depth, color, and remarkable persistence.
The result is a wine of layered complexity and seamless balance that reflects the diversity of Napa Valley's finest vineyards while remaining unmistakably Ninth Acre.
The 2024 growing season offered exceptional conditions for producing a refined, age-worthy Bordeaux blend. Abundant winter rainfall established healthy vine growth and balanced canopies across every vineyard. Warm, consistent summer temperatures encouraged even ripening, while cool evenings preserved freshness, natural acidity, and aromatic detail.
Moderate yields concentrated flavor, color, and tannin, allowing each vineyard to express its unique character with remarkable clarity.
Oakville Ranch delivered depth, dark fruit, and refined tannin structure. Bale Mill Ranch contributed layered aromatics, energy, and exceptional balance. Fruit from select hillside vineyards introduced freshness, graphite, mineral character, and structural lift. Together, these vineyards produced a blend that is powerful without excess and elegant without compromise.
Every vineyard and varietal was harvested and aged separately before extensive blending trials identified the final composition. The resulting wine reflects both the generosity of the 2024 vintage and the discipline of blending with intention—where every decision serves balance, complexity, and longevity.
